Fresh Cherry and Ruby Red Port Reduction Sauce
It's cherry season again this year and we're always ready to enjoy them any way we can conjure up. So here's the fabulous reduction sauce we created. We put it over a pork loin roast but you can add this delicious sauce to just about any meat or fish. It was super tasting and looked great on the plate.
Our philosophy is to eat fruits and vegetables as much as we can when they are in season and grown organically somewhere near us. So when cherries are in season, which is way too short, we keep a bowl of fresh cherries on the kitchen counter top just so we can munch on them when we're passing through the kitchen (which seems to be more often then). In any event, this is a great recipe for adding to your repertoire.
The recipe which you can find Here, makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce. Try it and enjoy the fresh cherries before they're gone from the market again.
